A new edition of KINO can be admired on Saturday, 21 of September. During the TodaysArt Festival, the public art cinema will once again settle on ‘t Gras v / d Buren for a film program that has been developed in collaboration with the festival. The video art program will be presented between 9 PM and 11 PM, with this edition’s theme The Conscious Body.

Increasing pressure to perform, efficiency and perfectionism challenge the body in the 21st century. A balance of the body, mind & soul is pursued through support coming from the wellness-, beauty- and health- industries as well as through the rapid technological developments. Can a technologically enhanced or optimized body also be seen as an individual, emotional being, that is not only led by performance or algorithms? What is a conscious body in the digital age?

Video works by artists participating in MYBODY.COM and TodaysArt Festival have been selected for this program. The artists reflect on these tendencies, play with them and appropriate such strategies.
