Hans Den Hartog Jager
27 Jun 2013 / Lezing@NestThe exhibition Abstract Myths looks into the role of modernism in contemporary visual art. On the one hand modernism formed an important impulse for new developments, but on the other it seems to have caused a persistent distance between art and society.
On June 27th Hans den Hartog Jager will speak about the backgrounds of the exhibition and take us on a journey through modernism, to conclude with the motivation and vision behind Abstract Myths.
Hans den Hartog Jager is a well-known author, art critic (ao at NRC) and presenter at AVRO’s ‘kunstuur’, where he interviews artists working in the Netherlands.
The exhibition will be open to the public before and after the talk.
