Composing is simply the process of making a translation.

Daniel Bierdümpfl invites you to compose a piece of music together. In his Collective Composing workshop the audience becomes the composer, working together with four improvising musicians. During the workshop you will draw your own sound piece based on a graphical method. What does yours sound like? Is it very quiet, loud, hectic, shy or maybe even a bit tipsy? These drawings-as-compositions will be interpreted and translated by four members of The Hague based Pluvia Collective. In their performance they will combine the drawings of the participants. During the night multiple compositions will be created, translated and performed.

Prior of composing or music is not necessary. The workshop will be in English.
