Aàdesokan & Yasmine van Haesebroucke

Aàdesokan and Yasmine van Haesebroucke crossed paths when Aàdesokan, born in Lagos, worked as an artist in residence at
the workshop of De Zandberg in Kortrijk, Belgium, where Yasmine has been working since 2018. They developed a bond and shared their first collaborative exhibition in 2022. It was an important experience for Aàdesokan: his visit to De Zandberg made him realise how different the life of little brother in Laos (who is diagnosed with Down’s syndrome) could have had if he would have been born elsewhere.

Yasmine has an almost unimaginable enthusiasm for the Korean pop scene, whose characters she translates into extremely accurate drawings in a strong graphic style. Over eighty percent of Aàdesokan’s practice is research based. He interrogates the mind and incorporates his research, questions, and thoughts into balanced compositions of artworks, photography, and literature.

The Grand Palace of Everyone

In collaboration with No Limits! Art Castle

Welcome to ‘The Grand Palace of Everyone’, a land without borders where collaboration reigns.

Together with No Limits! Art Castle (formerly known as Outsiderland) we tear down the walls between fantasy and reality, art and design, and ‘insider’ and ‘outsider’ artists. Why would anyone decide who is ‘professional enough’ to enter the gates?

The Grand Palace of Everyonerolls out a black and white carpet for the work of over sixty artists in 26 unique collaborations between talented and dedicated artists. Side by side they find their way in the art world and present a broad scope of collaborations in every nook and cranny of Nest. Never before have so many artists shared the space in one exhibition.
