Theater LeBelle & Duran Lantink

Duran Lantink doesn’t like complying with existing conventions and often rebels against the big fashion brands. He turned chopped up deadstock material of luxury brands into new garments and purposefully copied the designs of chains like Zara and H&M, in response to their plagiarism of young designers.

Theater LeBelle is a theater workplace for people with a mental disability. The exists out of 25 to 30 actors that work on plays, location theater, inclusion projects, workshops and dance concepts. Many of Lebelle’s actors are obsessed with a certain celebrity, varying from Ali B to Michael Jackson. In their collaboration with Duran they were inspired by Andy Warhol’s The Factory. Together with Duran they made tributes to their favourite celebrities and made sure they had matching outfits.

The Grand Palace of Everyone

In collaboration with No Limits! Art Castle

Curator
  • Heske ten Cate & Jan Hoek

Welcome to ‘The Grand Palace of Everyone’, a land without borders where collaboration reigns.

Together with No Limits! Art Castle (formerly known as Outsiderland) we tear down the walls between fantasy and reality, art and design, and ‘insider’ and ‘outsider’ artists. Why would anyone decide who is ‘professional enough’ to enter the gates?

The Grand Palace of Everyonerolls out a black and white carpet for the work of over sixty artists in 26 unique collaborations between talented and dedicated artists. Side by side they find their way in the art world and present a broad scope of collaborations in every nook and cranny of Nest. Never before have so many artists shared the space in one exhibition.
