Gewichtig Wachten

In the video series Gewichtig Wachten (Stately Waiting), the emphasis is on trying to separate a fragment of literature from it’s source and treat it as an autonomous entity.

By taking away the context of the rest of the story we are left with a foreboding feeling that something is about to happen but we never reach the point where this event actually occurs. We stay suspended in this essential concentration with out knowing why it is essential. In Nest the work was shown in the context of a multi-channel installation that loops each of the fragments, driving the viewer from one endless situation to the next.
