As part of the exhibition Out of Office (Still Here), Nest is organizing a Block Party on Saturday, August 15: a street festival for the entire neighborhood and for all ages, taking place on the lawn in front of the DCR building.
During the Block Party, there will be food, drinks, and music. We will offer guided tours of the exhibition, host workshops with various artists, and organize a creative street market. The event is being held in collaboration with, among others, Flora cinema and restaurant, La Rana, Museumnacht Den Haag, the Nice Flaps drawing collective, Club Laak, het dooorp, and artist Laura Snijders.
Nice Flaps
Nice Flaps is an experimental drawing platform based in The Hague. They organise drawing sessions in various surprising settings. Sometimes they’ll bring a model or two, sometimes they don’t. Nice Flaps is all about the joy of drawing together, whatever your skill level, without thinking about the results.
Club Laak - met dj’s Zwits, Robbin, Djaro b2b Ruben Soffner
Club Laak is the most forward thinking club of The Hague’s nightlife. Based in the Laakkwartier, a trip to Laak guarantees to have you dancing all night long. Curated by Laak, The Hague based dj’s Robbin, Zwits and Djaro b2b Ruben Soffner will keep you moving throughout the day as well.
Laura Snijders - vliegerworkshop
The Hague based artist Laura Snijders hosts a special kite-making workshop. Who or what will be dancing in the wind this summer?
dooorp - Community Markt
Dooorp is a creative community organising weekly events that blend music, food, art and 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘷𝘪𝘣𝘦𝘴. During the Block Party they host a pop-up community market with art, music, temporary tattoos and many more local gems.
La Rana - Paella & Wines
Located at the Stationsweg in The Hague, La Rana is specialised in Spanish wines, tapas and creative bites. If there's anyone in The Hague that's able to make a proper paella and pair it with just the right wines, it's the cheffs of La Rana!
