On Friday May 1st, Nest opens the exhibition. Out of Office (Still Here). Who is able to go on a vacation, and who stays at home during the summer? Not everyone experiences the summer holiday as a period of rest and relaxation. The way leisure time is spent depends on social, economic, and cultural circumstances, and says something about acces and (in)equality. With Out of Office (Still Here), Nest focusses on those staying at home. How do they spend their time, and what role does their immediate environment play in this? Thirteen contemporary artists rais questions about spare time, staying home during the summer, and acces to play and holidays.
With work by: Philip Akkerman, Roger Anis, Josefin Arnell, Rugilė Barzdžiukaitė, Vaiva Grainytė and Lina Lapelyte, Céline Condorelli, Priscila Fernandes, Ilke Gers, Kexin Hao, Marina Planas, Pris Roos and Vita Soul Wilmering.
More information about the programme will be announced soon.
