Truly alchemical theatre, Présage results in a performance in which the artist associates different chemical products in a beaker. He presents a world set in motion via various manipulations. These transformations of matter, which are filmed and simultaneously projected onscreen, plunge the spectator into a fairytale-like world with fascinating colors and forms. From the laboratory to the studio, from the chemical experiment to performance, Hicham Berrada strives to create a natural world that is chemically activated.
