Nest and 1646 are working together on a large scale exhibition in the public space of The Hague with work by graduating art students. The open call closes 1 June.

We believe that the current generation of graduates benefits from greater visibility. Partly because travel is still not promoted and the graduation exhibitions can probably only be visited with a time slot and to a limited extent.

Nest and 1646 would like to invite BA / MA students of the class of 2021, who make autonomous work, from all art academies in the Netherlands: submit photo’s of your graduation work, or work related to it, to be selected for an extensive exhibition in the public space of The Hague. All entries will also be exhibited online.

During The Hague Contemporary Art Weekend from 8 to 11 July 2021 in The Hague, posters with the graduation work will be displayed throughout the city.

Mister Motley will write articles that contextualize the selected artworks and graduates of all the art schools.

The Hague Finest is mediapartner and works on enhancing the visibility of the posters in the city. At their shop and online, they offer free A2 posters of the 26 selected works. Here you can find more on where to pick them up.

All applications will be given a podium on the Instagram account @callforgraduates where the work of all contributors will be shown.
