For the past seven years Nest has been part of the visual art program of music festival Down the Rabbit Hole. This year, between the green hills of the festival terrain Nest will present the installation RADIATE IV by Joeri Woudstra.

Obscured from view by the trees of the forest, on a hidden open spot, a church organ is installed. Instead of pipes and keys – speakers, tweeters and subwoofers play a melancholic but peaceful composition.

In the work of artist, composer and dj Joeri Woudstra (1993), nostalgia and melancholy are recurring themes. From musical performances with stroboscopes and echo’s of top-40 pop-music, to installations and video’s with fairground sounds and water slides that make you crave for (not yet) bygone teenage years. Due to the ever-accelerating progress, technological phenomena change at a rapid pace. This high turnover rate makes us not only look back nostalgically on our youth - for Woudstra, the 90s – but that similar feelings can arise thinking of objects from just a few years ago. Woudstra graduated from the KABK in The Hague in 2016. He produces compositions and musical collages under his alter ego Torus and is artistic director and programmer of Club Laak.

During sunset on Friday, Joeri Woudstra will use RADIATE IV for a special live performance. On Sunday, the last day of the festival, RADIATA IV will be activated by various live performances and dj-sets.
