Nest at Down The Rabbit Hole: Oscar Peters
–- Oscar Peters
In 2020 Down the Rabbit Hole supported the development of VOLTA, a solo presentation by Oscar Peters in the Electriciteitsfabriek. He transformed the over 4000m2 industrial factory into a kinetic art amusement park where the work ‘The Savage’ was part of: a gigantic wooden roller coaster on which artworks are bouncing around on trays. At the time, this work was supposed to travel on to the festival, but the 2020 and 2021 edition couldn’t take place because of the pandemic.
Fortunately, Peters will now move the roller coaster to the Groene Heuvels in Beuningen and at the music festival he will build a new variation on his roller coaster series. From July 1 to 3, ‘Golden Mountains’ will sparkle in the sun. Together with a team of artists, visitors to the festival can create their own artwork for a ride on the roller coaster. Oscar Peters’ installation promises to hoist your works of art safely to the top. Construction on the carts can be done throughout the day, so a new exhibit can be seen on the roller coaster at any time of the day or night.
