I Beg to Differ – Tiny Art Gallery

  •

In the upcoming period, the programme I Beg to Differ will temporarily move to Clubhouse. Here, every other week, we will discuss current issues and stories in The Hague with inspiring artists, thinkers and practitioners. This programme is organised by Nest in cooperation with Orisun Studio.

On Thursday 15 April at 19:00 you can listen in and talk about new projects that were conceived as an emergency solution during the lockdowns, but will hopefully have a longer existence once the doors reopen again. Like the project Tiny Art Gallery, the mini gallery that artist Marijn van der Leeuw started in 2020, which can be seen in shop windows from the street. In this travelling gallery, she creates group exhibitions with tiny artworks specially made for this format. By creating spaces ranging from 7.5 x 7.5 cm to a maximum of 25 x 25 cm, she invites 63 artists to approach their practice from a new perspective and on a different scale. What does it mean to curate an exhibition in this tiny format? And what is the future of the gallery?

Here you can find all events, exhibitions, talks, workshops and performances that Nest organises.
