The city artist (2023-2025) Babette Wagenvoort draws assemblies in places in The Hague, every month we publish one. This time: Juliana van Stolbergmonument, commemoration bombing Bezuidenhout.

This year too, the March 3 '45 Foundation organised an official commemoration of the mistake bombing of March 3 1945 for the victims, their families and neighbourhood residents of Bezuidenhout. In the afternoon, there was a ceremony with wreath-laying at the Juliana van Stolberg monument that was attended by survivors, schoolchildren, musical accompaniment by the Regimental Band 'Garde Grenadiers en Jagers' and spoken-word artist Debora Lootsma: 'To err is human, but war is inhuman (...) Cracking bones, creaking trees, creaking houses'. White signs reveal the names of over five hundred victims.
